Michael Matthews, PhD, Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Matthews has over 30 years experience working with children and adolescents, and received his doctorate in psychology in 1986 from Temple University.

His work with adults began in 1990, during which he provided psychotherapy in community mental health and private practice outpatient facilities. He became licensed in 1991, and has provided direct client care and supervision to clinical staff in a variety of mental health settings, including outpatient, partial hospitalization, intermediate term care for adolescents, and community-based behavioral health rehabilitative services (BHRS) for children, adolescents and their families. He has consulted to a number of foster care and residential agencies and school districts.

In addition to his current work in neurofeedback, since 1996 he has owned and maintained an agency that provides community-based services for children, adolescents, and their families, and outpatient services for any age client. In the last decade his work has focused on diagnostic evaluations of children and adolescents ages 1-1/2 to 18, especially those with autism, providing clinical direction and supervision in their community-based treatment. He has provided multiple clinical trainings to various mental health agencies.

Amy Matthews, MA, LPC

Amy Matthews first provided biofeedback services in 1980 as a therapist in a government sponsored clinical study at the Stanford Research Institute in California. That same year, she completed her Masters degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from the University of Santa Clara. Her work in biofeedback and counseling continued in the Lehigh Valley where she provided counseling to clients in various private practice outpatient facilities.

In 1982 she became certified by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. Ms. Matthews taught clients the Open Focus Method and other stress management techniques. In 1985, Amy received her certification in secondary guidance in order to work within the educational arena. She worked at a junior high school in Northampton for two years and since 1987 has been employed as a guidance counselor at Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA.

Specializing in adolescents, Ms. Matthews provides all aspects of guidance services including college counseling, personal and family counseling, career counseling, crisis management, and all aspects of consultation services with teachers and parents. She has provided outpatient psychotherapy on an ongoing basis and was certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2006.

Dan Morrison

Dan has had extensive training and experience in operating the neurfeedback equipment. He is currently a Penn State student with a major in psychology.
